Article Epithetical Books The Holy Bible: New American Standard Version, NASB
Read the bible in a year, some stretches were hard, Leviticus and some prophets, the disadvantage of reading it in a year is the lacking of depth in a passage for there is only so much time the advantage is that you read the whole book and it is awesome to see all 66 books connect. No matter what your background or worldview, this book is a must read. It is easily the most studied/challenged book ever written, not to mention the one that has had the biggest impact on world history. It tells the story of God's relationship to humankind, how the first humans chose to turn their backs on God so He designed a way to restore the relationship back to what it was meant to be. As a section in John explains, "For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son (Jesus), that

I love the Old English of other translations (Douay Rheims, KJV, ESV), but the New American

(view spoiler)[The Bible IS amazing. It is full of 'impossible' prophesies like the city of Tyre being destroyed and (if I remember correctly) it had recorded in it, information on the Assyrian Empire long before we even discovered ruins from Assyria.I find the prophesy on Tyre the most fascinating one (Ezekiel 26:3-21) where it says:"...therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the sea casting up its waves. They will

Bible = The Holy Bible, Anonymous The Bible is a collection of sacred texts or scriptures that Jews and Christians consider to be a product of divine inspiration and a record of the relationship between God and humans. The English word Bible is from the Latin biblia, from the same word in Medieval Latin and Late Latin and ultimately from Biblical Greek: τὰ
