Ive read so many books set in New York City that I feel like Ive walked the streets myself ( I havent) but it takes a really good one to break new ground and really separate itself from the pack. Thats exactly what I found with Westyns Blood Fund, and I loved it from the very first page. Laura Ellyson is a fantastic character, powerful and loveable but also flawed in her own way enough that you feel the empathetic bond investing you emotionally enough so you feel the jeopardy she experiences
