The Pilgrims of Rayne (Pendragon #8)
The leaders of Ibara are keeping a devastating secret from their people, one that gives Saint Dane all the opportunity he needs to launch his final assault on Halla.
While Bobby struggles to learn the truth in time to thwart Saint Dane, Courtney Chetwynde desperately searches for Mark Diamond. On the heels of a shocking tragedy, Mark has disappeared. Worse, he seems to be under Saint Dane's influence. It's up to Courtney to find Mark and stop him from making a grave mistake that could change the future of all existence.
Journal of an adventure through time & space where Pendragon and Courtney set out to rescue Mark and find themselves traveling--and battling--their way through different worlds as they try to save all of Halla
This book certainly has a "Planet of the Apes" feel to it. One other thing to note is, like I've said before, the Rivers of Zadaa was defiantly a first "turning point" for the series, or maybe I'll cal it a mini chapter. I say all this without reading Raven Rise, which is in my opinion (probably everyone else who reads these books as well) the beginning of the the final chapter for the series.

Still loving this series! A little bit more complicated, messy twists and turns..and even more territories being shown. I really like MacHales writing. And obviously this is still one of my favourite time traveling sci-fi adventure series. Hobey-ho, lets go to next book!
My immediate reaction, after reading this book............ Honestly, why don't many people know about this series? It's frustrating because this is an AWESOME FANTASTIC adventure science fiction book !! And I really wish it had a cult following. It has perfect dynamic, diversity and science fiction world. This book was action packed from the start till the end. And OMG! so many twist and reveals...... Some painful, some so bloody confusing and some shocking. This book had it all. One thing I
Overall Rating: 3.5/5Story: 3.5/5Characters: 3.5/5World-Building: 4/5Editing/Presentation: 3.5/5Story: The story flowed together nicely with several twists throughout, as can be expected. The story of what was happening on Ibara seems pretty basic until it gets to preparing for a war, while the story of what was happening on First Earth was a lot more interesting (probably due to its faster pace). Many elements flowed together nicely, though, and it was interesting to see how Pendragon is going
Clearly not the final book even though Bobby thinks so. The plot twist at the end surprised me because I didnt think Nevva could be so close to Bobby this whole time. It makes me wonder if she was involved in any of the previous territories. I wonder what the destruction of Forge has done because it seems it hasnt affecting Bobby and Ibara. The future of Mark and Courtney seems that they will have help Bobby escape from Veelox. Saint Dane probably knows where another flume is or another way to

This was a breaking point for Pendragon, save halla or one island. Guess what he chose. Yup you're right it was the island because he spent so much time with them that he HAD to protect them. Therefore halla is one and the worlds are doomed.Journal of an adventure through time & space where Pendragon and Courtney set out to rescue Mark and find themselves traveling--and battling--their way through different worlds as they try to save all of Halla
