UnDivided (Unwind Dystology #4)
Proactive Citizenry, the company that created Cam from the parts of unwound teens, has a plan: to mass produce rewound teens like Cam for military purposes. And below the surface of that horror lies another shocking level of intrigue: Proactive Citizenry has been suppressing technology that could make unwinding completely unnecessary. As Conner, Risa, and Lev uncover these startling secrets, enraged teens begin to march on Washington to demand justice and a better future.
But more trouble is brewing. Starkey’s group of storked teens is growing more powerful and militant with each new recruit. And if they have their way, they’ll burn the harvest camps to the ground and put every adult in them before a firing squad—which could destroy any chance America has for a peaceful future.
There isnt one single thing that will end unwinding, she tells them. It will take a hodgepodge of random events that come together in just the right way and at just the right time to remind society its got a conscience.Revolution comes with huge sacrifices. My heart ached when I read this book, seeing how much sacrifices must be made to wake peoples conscience up against unwinding. REVIEW FREE OF SPOILERS FOR THE PREVIOUS BOOKS.Unwind to me has always been known because it's one of the best dystopia series I've ever read. Mainly, it's because its realism is overwhelming - so realistic it's almost painful - and it continued that way throughout the four books.First, the subject matter in the book is not so far from reality. I'm not saying we're close to parents giving away their children to the authorities so they can have them unwound (split their body parts without
UPDATE: Okay is it just me or does this seem weird? I'm one of those people who likes my series books to match -- format, height, covers, etc. And I've waited a year for this one to come out in paperback so it would match the rest of my set (I'm usually not a fan of having all but one or two books in pb vs hb/vice-versa), except that now I come to find out that the paperback edition of this is with the newer cover, with UN in huge letters and then "divided" beneath it. No more Statue of Liberty
Wait what? There's going to be a fourth book??
This series is supremely fucked up and emotionally exhausting (don't even get me STARTED ON THIS FUCKING BOOK) and fucking brilliant and I will never stop thinking about it. What an amazing way to end an amazing series.Neal Shusterman, you are a mad genius.
