This book was such a disappointment to me. I had high expectations for this new series, the world is intriguing, but there is too much going on, the action is too spread out, and there are way too many characters involved. My head positively spins trying to keep track of everything. The first book was bad enough, but in this one, the action is so split that I found it hard to keep track of where everyone is. Even harder is keeping track of WHO everyone is. From the enemies to the

AHH THIS BOOK THE ENDING MADE ME WANNA TEAR THE ENTIRE GALAXY APART I literally swear under my breath xD I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did with the first one, I thought the plot really drags on a lot. But I still like it :)
I really liked this book. More world-building than the previous book of the trilogy. Getting to see some of the realms that were just mentioned before was fun. And seeing the fearsome northen tribes was an added boom - I expected to see them in the last book. Otherwise the story is interesting - some parts just drag you right into the world and keep you there until the end. The characters

Narrative During Books Scent of Magic (Healer #2)
Hunted, Killed—Survived? As the last Healer in the Fifteen Realms, Avry of Kazan is in a unique position: in the minds of her friends and foes alike, she no longer exists. Despite her need to prevent the megalomanical King Tohon from winning control of the Realms, Avry is also determined to find her sister and repair their estrangement. And she must do it alone, as Kerrick, her partner and sole confident, returns to Alga to summon his country into battle. Though she should be in hiding, Avry will do whatever she can to support Tohon’s opponents. Including infiltrating a holy army, evading magic sniffers, teaching forest skills to soldiers and figuring out how to stop Tohon’s most horrible creations yet; an army of the walking dead—human and animal alike and nearly impossible to defeat. War is coming and Avry is alone. Unless she figures out how to do the impossible ... again.Define Of Books Scent of Magic (Healer #2)
