Beatrice De Novo thought she had left the supernatural world behind…for the most part. But when the past becomes the present, will she leave her quiet life in Los Angeles to follow a mystery she thought had abandoned her? Where has Giovanni Vecchio been, and why has he returned? Giovanni has his own questions, and he’s looking to her for answers. The sequel to A Hidden Fire will reunite Beatrice and Giovanni to continue their search through the past while both wrestle with the future. When the world as you knew it has changed forever, is there any way you can turn back? This Same Earth is the second book in the Elemental Mysteries series. It is a paranormal romance/mystery for adult readers.

I had a very difficult time at the beginning of this book. By that, I mean that I wanted to throw my e-reader against the wall and perhaps drop an anvil on top of the heros head. And if you read the first book in this series, and if you rooted for B and Gio in any way, shape, or form, you will feel the same way. Halfway through the book, I was still mad. I wasnt sure I was going to get past it. Eventually begrudgingly I did, but Im still a little resentful about all of the angst. So let me rip

Me likes....me really really likes :)Gio and Beatrice are back! Only problem is, five years have passed and Beatrice hasnt seen Gio a single time. Shes living in Los Angeles after earning her graduates degree, she has a nice home, a full time job and a hot boyfriend named Mano. After five years of half living her life and half waiting for Gio to come back into her life, shes finally decided shes had enough and is ready to just move on. But of course thats exactly when Gio decides to break his

The fact that I loved the first book in Hunter's Hidden Mysteries, A Hidden Fire, was actually the reason that I was hesitant to start This Same Earth. I liked the slowly building relationship between book scholar vampire Giovanni Vecchio and library science intern Beatrice De Novo in the first book and was actually just fine with the hopeful ending, but the the teaser for This Same Earth at the end of that book had the effect of putting me off this one a bit. That said, I ended up really liking

As seen at www.choicebookreviews.netI ASKED MYSELF A FEW QUESTIONS GOING INTO THIS BOOK:1. CAN I LOVE IT MORE THAN A HIDDEN FIRE?2. CAN MY EXPECTATIONS BE EXCEEDED?3. WILL IT INCREASE MY HUNGER FOR GIO AND B?The answer to all these questions was a resounding YES!!!I absolutely loved, LOVED the second installment in the Elemental Mysteries series! I didn't think it would top the first but it did. No, it exceeded it! This series is shaping up to be an amazing one and I can't get enough! We pick up

Well, it wasn't too bad.I remember I really liked the last book, that it was funny and engaging and sweet. I can't say the same about this one though...It focused too much on the love story (and this wasn't suppose to be a romance novel 100%) and it barely advanced with the plot. Even more, it was pretty boring at times. It's not a bad story if you are looking for sweet, cute, love stuff. If you want more action, well... This one is pretty slow in that department .
