Description Toward Books The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea

A new edition with expanded content is available now, “The Go-Giver, Expanded Edition: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea An engaging book that brings new relevance to the old proverb “Give and you shall receive” The Go-Giver tells the story of an ambitious young man named Joe who yearns for success. Joe is a true go-getter, though sometimes he feels as if the harder and faster he works, the further away his goals seem to be. And so one day, desperate to land a key sale at the end of a bad quarter, he seeks advice from the enigmatic Pindar, a legendary consultant referred to by his many devotees simply as the Chairman. Over the next week, Pindar introduces Joe to a series of “go-givers:” a restaurateur, a CEO, a financial adviser, a real estate broker, and the “Connector,” who brought them all together. Pindar’s friends share with Joe the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success and teach him how to open himself up to the power of giving. Joe learns that changing his focus from getting to giving—putting others’ interests first and continually adding value to their lives—ultimately leads to unexpected returns. Imparted with wit and grace, The Go-Giver is a heartwarming and inspiring tale that brings new relevance to the old proverb “Give and you shall receive.”

Required reading for my job (at the time). Stories that teach you get more for giving than getting. If you give to everyone you meet you will ultimately be rewarded along your career path. This book was entertaining and highly readable and mostly intended for people in sales although the principals here can be applied to many different aspects of employment and life.

This book is as the name describes, a little story. There is a sequel to it, but I personally do not find it necessary to read as it teaches different lessons and themes than this one. I desired to read another book, but could not get it in time so I read this one, and it sure met my expectations on a book that has valuable secrets for both business and life when it comes time. I had little to no problems reading the book, and it conveyed events on a positive note. Anyway, the book is only

Game-changer. Highly recommend for anyone who sells a service or product. (NOTE: it's also a really short read - two hours or so.) Buy it and read it.

Loved it. Best business book and non-profit guide ever.

This book is like another way of looking at the golden rule but it's quick read about how focusing on investing in others can help you achieve you goals. I'm going to have my whole team read it
