Ember Rising (The Green Ember #3)
If I chose favorite books in series- which I don't- Ember Rising would be my favorite thus far in the Green Ember series. But I don't pick favorite books within series, so that's not relevant. One thing that made this stand out for me was that there was more humor in this book, to offset the fact that it was a little darker. Once again, I really appreciate the uniquely difficult situations. Of course, the dark events are terrible, but they encourage readers to yearn for the Mended Wood like

Thoroughly enjoyed this latest episode of The Green Ember series. Kudos to author, S.D. Smith for another inspiring tale of adventure. When I revealed its arrival to my kids, my 14 year old actually jumped up and down with glee at its arrival! It doesn't disappoint: lots of loyal friendships, exciting battles, and brave heroes. As another reviewer stated, this story will certainly cause you to consider where you came from and why you are here. It's a tremendous question for each of us to
S.D. Smith knocked it out of the park with this one. My kids and I loved the first two books and the third didn't disappoint. This book sparked many difficult but important conversations between me and my kids and I'm grateful for S.D. Smith helping me navigate these turbulent waters. The idea of doing the right thing even when everyone is against you is a recurring theme. As is the idea of beauty and life being worth fighting, and even dying, for. The audio is our favorite way to "read" them
OMG!!!! Best book in the series! It was sad in parts, and every chapter left you in suspense, I highly recommend this series. The end was SO sad. I believe S. D Smith will write another book because .....

What a glorious story! Each Green Ember book has gotten steadily better in its storytelling and pacing, and its world has grown both vaster and more richly layered. I enjoyed the earlier books, but Ember Rising is truly an achievement. One of my favorite aspects of this book, and really the series as a whole, is that small, weak, and seemingly marginal rabbits have their heroic roles to play as wellnot just the frontline soldiers, kings, and princesses. Everyone is called to their little work,If I chose favorite books in series- which I don't- Ember Rising would be my favorite thus far in the Green Ember series.
